Offering in-store pickup and marketing free shipping promotions can be attractive to online shoppers, but whatever shipping option is selected, it is important that retailers never lose sight of the importance of having purchases delivered on time. When orders arrive later than expected, 47% of surveyed shoppers said they would shop competitors before considering the offending retailer in the future.
